Eucalyptus citriodora, or lemon eucalyptus, is a species of tree belonging to the Myrtaceae family. It grows in mountainous zones and on wooded hillsides.
It owes its name to the sharp lemony scent emitted by its foliage.
PROPERTIES
Eucalyptus leaves are a traditional herbal remedy. The essential oil found in the leaves is a powerful antiseptic and is used all over the world for relieving coughs and colds, sore throats and other infections.
TIPS FOR USE
For external use, dilute eucalyptus citriodora essential oil in vegetable oil at a ratio of 1 drop of essential oil to 10 drops of vegetable oil. Apply the mixture to the desired area and massage gently.
ROOM FRAGRANCE – Add a few drops to an Ultrasonic Diffuser to create a refreshing & clearing atmosphere. This will also help to repel unwanted insects!
